Claim Your Possibilities By Robert A. Schuller
You know many people believe that my father was the founder of this church. In many ways that's true but the real foundation goes way back even before him actually. I would like to give a little credit to my great uncle. That would be my father's mother's brother. My great uncle was a man by the name of Henry Beltman. Henry Beltman was a missionary in China. Henry Beltman came back from China in the 1930's, saw my father at five years old and said to him, "You are going to be a preacher when you grow up." My father took that to heart and became a pastor.
Today, when I prepare for my sermons, I always pull out a book I have in my library entitled A Harmony of the Gospels. It's written by Kerr. It is a very simple book, actually. It puts the four gospels side by side next to each other so you can look at all four of the gospels side by side. I like to know what all the different gospels have to say about the same text, so I always read it. Please do not respond to this email. The reply to email address is not a monitored account. Thank you!
