Crosswalk: Urgent: Help Samaritan's Purse bring aid to China and Myanmar.

  Mission of Mercy to China

Samaritan's Purse has airlifted more than 90 tons of desperately needed relief supplies to earthquake survivors in China. A 747 cargo jet chartered by Samaritan's Purse carried the emergency aid from Charlotte, North Carolina, halfway around the world to Chengdu, the capital of the hard-hit Sichuan province. Chinese officials said it was the first privately chartered relief flight from the U.S. to arrive in China.

In addition to medical supplies, blankets, and other items, the airlift included 1,140 rolls of reinforced plastic and six large water filtration systems–enough to provide temporary housing and clean water for thousands of suffering families. Samaritan's Purse staff members in China are focusing heavily on the need for emergency shelter and clean water. Visit our Web site now to learn how you can help.
